Importance of passing the Ashwaubenon School District Operating Referendum
Public education is vital for all kids to acquire knowledge and skills and it provides a means to opportunity in our community. The Ashwaubenon School District is asking residents on April 4th to approve an Operating Referendum of $3.9 million over the next five years.
On the show, we sit down with Superintendent of Schools Kurt Weyers and Assistant Superintendent of Schools Keith Lucious to learn about what will happen if additional funds are not approved, what it would mean for education in Ashwaubenon and taxes for residents.
Find out about the referendum here: https://www.ashwaubenon.k12.wi.us/community/2023-referendum.cfm
The district is hosting it’s last of three informational sessions March 22nd at 6 PM at Cormier Early Learning Center.
Mr. Lucious’ mic settings were not quite right when we began and I apologize for some badly recorded audio from one of our guests for the first half of the show.
